.PL domain registry for the third quarter of 2016
The .PL domain registry ended the third quarter of 2016 with 2 707 080 names active in DNS, maintained for 1 022 234 registrants. From the beginning of July to the end of September 2016 255 993 new .pl domain names were registered.

At the end of the first half of 2016 the volume of the .pl domain registry amounted to 2 713 345 names active in DNS, maintained for 1 022 thousand registrants.
PERN - cyber safe!
PERN S.A., national leader in oil logistics has signed the agreement with NASK concerning the cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. It will be the first such comprehensive program designed to improve the ICT security in this sector.
Opening of NC Cyber
July 4 saw the launch of NC Cyber (National Cybersecurity Center), an entity responsible for the security of Polish cyberspace. The Center operates within the structure of NASK, and is tasked with collecting and analyzing – as part of the National Cyberspace Protection System – information about cyberthreats, submitted by institutions participating in the initiative.
NASK's representative became a deputy chairman of the ENISA Management Board
On the 8th of June Krzysztof Silicki was elected as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the European Union Agency for Network and Information Security (ENISA).
NASK - new location
We kindly inform that NASK has changed the location of its head office. The Institute is now located at Kolska 12, 01-045 Warsaw.
Tinba and Conficker have infected the highest number of Polish computers
Tinba and Conficker botnets are the types of malware that have infected the highest number of devices belonging to Polish users – informs CERT Polska team operating within the structure of NASK. Among the top 10 threats distributed in Poland, as many as three of them were aimed directly at online banking customers.
